My Macbook Pro was not able to erase the new hard drive I had just purchased.
Every time I was trying to format the hard disk in Mac OS Journal file system, I continously got a "system error".
It was impossible to keep it with one, two or even three partions, so I had to split it in 4 equal parts, 500 GB each.
Now it works great!
